Our Pastor

Minister Mark Gibson was ordained by Rev. Rufus Copeland of Gardner Grove Baptist Church on June 2007.Sr. His wife, Roseland and his children, Henry, DarNesha, and Mark Jr. came to Augusta by way of the United States Military. He is a retired Chief Warrant Office 3(P). He is currenty the supervisor of CIF on Ft. Gordon.

On August 15, 2009, Rev. Gibson accepted the position of Pastor of Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle Christian Center. Under the Pastorate of Rev. Gibson, the church has incorporated a Deacon's Ministry, Adult & Youth Sunday School, Youth Bible Study, a Nursery, Women & Men's Fellowship (Naomi Circle & Brotherhood), a Men's & Women's Choir, Youth Praise Dance Team, Hospitality & Heath Committee, Feeding the Homeless, and Nursing Home Ministry.

Pastor Gibson has baptized, performed weddings, funerals and accepted numerous new members into Emmanuel Faith. We are currently in the process of a building fund to build onto our current location, buy the land next door, or purchase a new building where we can grow and expand in ministry. On March 23, 2012, the church purchased a pulpit set and on December 13, 2012 a portable baptism pool was purchased. In January 2017, repairs were done to our church parking lot; and on March 7, 2107 we did improvements to our male and female restrooms. As you can see, God is truly blessing Emmanuel Faith.

On Sunday, February 19, 2017, God blessed Emmanuel Faith with an Associate Pastor. Minister Johnny Williams and family joined Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle where he assumed the role of Associate Pastor.

My focus is that Emmanuel Faith will align themselves with Acts 2:44…”And all that believed where together, and had all things common.” I want this church to function in the same manner as the families of old; taking care of one another. Our church family will function as a family – in the church and in the community. We will also raise the standard of the people and the community by teaching and sharing the truth of God’s Word! As we remain faithful to God, we will remain faithful to each other.

Pastor Gibson is currently perusing his Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Studies with Liberty University.
